For this Assignment you will go out into the community and observe an area of the social world that is strongly connected to gender and compile your findings in written format. This Assignment will help you with understanding the social construction of gender as you explore how everyday products can carry messages about gender. Visit a store and notice personal care (or hygiene) products marketed to men and women. Note whether similar products are marketed to men and women in different ways . For instance, are deodorants marketed to men packaged in different ways than deodorants marketed to women? Do shampoos for men and women promise different outcomes? Observe a total of five different hygiene products and write a short 1 ½ to 2 page essay comparing and contrasting the gender differences in the marketing of hygiene products. What do these differences show about different expectations of men and women in our society.

Your project should be 1 ½ to 2 pages in length and adhere to the following standards:
