Legalization of any drug does not render it harmless. I think that if they legal certain drugs then the control of how it is dispensed becomes a little more manageable. People that abuse any drug will always find a way to get the drugs they want legal or not. If it becomes legal to use marijuana in a recreational  capacity it will still be abused, the main difference is the people that could use it for medicinal use would no longer be breaking the law.
