Your Consulting Firm has been selected by ABC Company to review the current HR policies, procedures, and systems and to provide recommendations for upgrading the current HRIS system.   ABC Company is a major regional health insurer located in the Northeastern US. However, some of the company’s products and/or services are marketed nationwide, such as their vision insurance, which consists of not only the manufacturing facilities for making eyewear, but also retail stores located throughout the US. The company’s dental insurance is also sold throughout most of the US through its dental subsidiary. ABC Company markets employer group health plans, participates in Medicare and Medicaid programs and also offers health insurance products on the Health Insurance Exchange, mandated by the Affordable Care Act.

  With over 20,000 employees in its insurance business, hospital system, and subsidiaries, your consulting firm believed that you needed to obtain input from employees throughout the company. However, ABC Company conducted the survey only among a random sample of its health insurance employees. Thus, you have no information from the hospital system employees, nor the retail store associates in the Vision company, nor the dental subsidiary employees.
