IFor this assignment, you must create an annotated bibliography containing 3 of the secondary sources you plan to use in your final research paper. 

Each annotation will have three parts (paragraphs):

The first part should summarize what the article/source is about (the author’s main argument). The second part should tell me how you plan to use this source in your paper (meaning, how does this article help [or not help] your argument). So it could be a source that says the OPPOSITE or disagrees with your thesis that you are using to show different sides of the argument.The third part will be at least one direct quote from the source that you will use in your paper.

These can be formatted in standard MLA format

 

 You are free to use the Harper Library online and any online sources it directs you to through the various search engines (e.g. Literary Resources, Ebsco, MLA Bibliography, J Store, etc.). Also, you are free to use sources you find through other search engines as long as the source of the research is credible. Please don’t cite “Joe Blow’s Webpage of Hurston Quotes” or “Suzy Q’s Online Opinions on Vonnegut.” Generally, an .edu or .org has some credibility.  Please ask if you are uncertain, ok? And NO Wikipedia! Wikipedia is fine for settling family disagreements and bets at the bar but not for academic research!!! 🙂
